Default How much would you pay?

This truck is something I would buy to drive and sell if I could find a buyer. The guy is an older neighbor who is on a fixed income. So I don't need to make money off him but not going to loose money either.

I am thinking $3000-$4000 and that might be high. He has a crazy idea of $10,000 but I need to convince him a lower price is fair.

The details are an "88 3500 phantom dually. It has a 454 swapped in and it runs well. Stock hood with glass cowl. Minimal cosmetic issues and he has the cap and a tanoe cover with it too.

Correction. I forgot it is a 1500 with dually flairs and slicks. It was a 350 truck that had a 454 swapped into it. I belive it still has the 60e. Not the end of the world since the 454 has no power to speak of but the 3500 chassis would be nice.

I am noticing you aren't the only one.

I just can't get over how this and most other forums only like cookie cutter trucks that are all are nearly identical.

Buy it!!!!! Probably look pimp sitting next to the Denali in the driveway. Just keep the kids inside after dark, you'll most likely have drug dealers driving by real slow wondering why one of their main suppliers has moved!

As far as the question at hand... I'd prolly drop a crisp hunnit-fiddy on it!!!

Don't know what to tell ya man, you asked and that's my thought. What is your idea of cookie cutter?

I wouldn't touch it if it was a 1500 converted to look like a 3500. Most likely you'll just be inheriting a mess. The body looks beat up, the paint looks terrible, the rust scares me, either the gauges don't zero or that pic was taken while driving, in which case the voltage gauge doesn't work, the OEM center console is missing...and god only knows what's wrong with it below the surface. If you had some sentimental reason for wanting it I could see maybe $1000, but honestly I'd stay far away based on what I'm seeing in the pics.

You could pick up a clean 3500 454 dually of that vintage in California for $3500.

If he is talking 10,000 Paseo's he's probably on track.
If he actually wants $10,000 US Dollars He is probably 20 years too late and obviously under the influence of a mind altering substance.

Even 10,000 US Quarters is still too much.

10,000 US Dimes would be about fair not mention the hilarity of bring all those rolled coins over...
