"They're not scratches, they're scars" Unless you're planning on making it a show truck, I would fix it with touch-up paint. They look small enough to get away with it. You can't afford to drop big bucks everytime you get a scratch in the paint. You'll end up being afraid to drive the truck altogether.

Re: Debadging. I debadged my 2001 in late 2005 (California Truck) without 'stains'. You'll be fine.

3m Makes A Great Adhesive Remover That Worked Great On Mine. I Just Used Fishing Line (pulled Between The Badge And Truck) To "saw" My Way Through And Then A Heat Gun And The Adhesive Remover To Clean It Up. No Scars , No Scratches, No Stains, No Problems.

thanks 4 the help... it was wrecked approx 7 weeks ago and the other side was fixed 4 free!!!!! ( it had the same deep scratches on the other side above the tire.... but i got it back from the body shot mon day so im happy...

Yeah that 3M adhesive remover is freakin awesome! I think its in a red and white aresol can. Thats what we use to get other dealerships stickers off our trade-ins and it works like a charm.

ya that looks pretty nasty.... but im getting ready to do the badges on the bed... in like 20 mins... and im still deciding about the molding on the side.. does it leave any kind of stains of fades?? cuz if not then im gonna pull it off.. tomorro....

so far i have

meguires clay bar kit
hair dryer (suppossedly the most powerful my mom can buy...)
fishing line. 4lb test....(for all you fisherman out there)
a freshly burt cd 2 listen to while i do the strip..
and a stool to sit on..

so how long do you think it will take??? its roughly 85' outside..

mine is an 04 and i took it off a couple of weeks ago and it wasnt to notice able. but its in the shop get custom painted as we speak man i cant wait till friday
