Default How much for a detail

How much should I charge to do a detail? I am not a professional by any means, but want to help a friend out. It's a small car, mid-late 90s Civic hatch. Probably would do a wash, wax, windows, vaccuum, and trim/tires.

$40-50 is a good price like what lowjob says...

he couldnt get a wash/wax and interior cleaning for that price... how are you going to wax it? with a buffer? or just ol' fashioned

LOL, I can't believe how much people will pay for a car detail. Most people would have no problem paying $50 for a car detail. To me, that's pretty high. I have a friend at work who does not care about how his 2002 ECSB Silverado looks. I told him I would wash and wax his BLACK truck for free, just so I don't have to see his dirty truck anymore. He thought I was crazy, maybe I am... Yep, I had too much fun working as a car detailer before I enlisted in the military.

Wow, this thread made a big turn when y'all found out it was a she. But yeah, $40-$50 or some other "payment" sounds about right.

Word on it taking a turn. As nice as the "payment" would be, I doubt it will happen.
