wouldnt the HD and cowl be about the same height?

wait does the cowl even give you additional under hood clearance?

If I have to go with a cowl hood Im going with a functional one not the ones most go with on here that are strictly for looks

does anyone make a steel one besides goodmark? thats what most go with.

i wouldnt go with anything but steel. i dont think i even know of anykind of 2" cowl with extra underhood clearance.

when most say the cowl is functional they mean functional as in extra airflow, right?

I would bet that the HD hood has as much room under it as one of those aftermarket cowl hoods, but I'm not positive. I'll look at it later tonight and try to get a pic of it posted up.

Not for 800 bucks!!!!!!

Bad, can you measure from the top of your engine cover to the bottom of the hood so I can get an idea if it will work.

Not sure how to go about doing that After looking at the hood and my stock hood, it looks like the only increase in room occurs aound the fan shroud area. It doesn't appear to be any higher at the cowl, and just doesn't slope forward like the stock hood.
