All hoods look great but the HD hood looks awesome on '99-'02 trucks. It gives those trucks a clean and mean look.

 

For an offroad truck look I vote the HD hood.

 

Go with the HD hood, I've got one on my Z71. You still thinking about converting to the HD grille and bumper? What about getting an HD hood and adding a steel cowl to it?

I cant decide what I want to do bumper wise.

1. Keep the painted front end like I have with multimount system for my winch and a prerunner bar for four offroad lights.
2. HD front conversion and throw a body lift on the truck and run an offroad bumper.
3. Keep the front end like it is with whatever hood I decide and throw a road armor front replacement bumper on there.

If the road armor bumpers werent so expensive it would be an easy decision.

 

For your truck I vote HD hood. I dont think the other 2 would match the look your going for.

For my truck I would pick the cowl.

reason being id say within the next year or two everyone and their dogs going to have an HD hood..

 

for an offroading truck go with the tough look of the HD.

 

The two things that are bugging me about the HD hood is that is a very subtle change that hardly anyone would notice and two they come on stock trucks, and I kinda want something to set me apart from the rest of the trucks rolling down the road. Then I see I truck like this

and think maybe it would look good doing the whole HD front end conversion.
