I really like the way the cowl hoods look, hope to get one in the future...someday. The HD hoods take a close second for me.

Just a quick note: James (creed) didn't actually modify the HD hood to fit his GMC...he just took the headlights out and bolted the hood up to see where it needed to be cut.

Atten Scream; My Chevy Hd hood on my 03 GMC

And, I forgot all about my most favoritist hood in the whole wide world...fiberglass cowl "flapper" hood from Keystone. Only problem is that it's WAY more expensive than any other hood out there.

what about an hd hood with cowl induction. has anyone seen these. i swear im not crazy. i saw one on a black truck about 3 months ago. guy had no idea where to get it though cuz "it came on the truck". seriously, im not crazy. it had the big snub nose front and the cowl was at least an inch or so higher than the average cowl hood.

Default hood

I have a RCSB sportside 5.3 with a WS6 RAM AIR hood and i love it. The cowl hoods are nice but they are steel (heavier) and just dont look as mean as the ram air (IMO). The HD hood only looks good on fleet sides (IMO) because the hood is more square looking to me. Besides the fact that i love the look of the WS6 style hood alone, i also chose it because i have a tauneau cover and it made the front and rear of the truck look balanced with the combo. It was quite a bit more expensive than both the cowl and the HD but i think it was worth it!!!

i would not get the hd hood because of the shape. since you have a stepside you do not want the squareness of the hood in the front with the roundness of the bed in the back.

dunno why i think it is because i see them every damn day some moron has a cowl hood on his truck i think the next one i see im going to rip off and beat the person to death with they even started putting them on suburbans and like a ws6 looking hood on a hyundai elantra( although that was not cowl) do something different
