Doesnt matter whether its your DD or not, if you drive it at night and you want the better vision of HIDs, you are shooting yourself in the foot by ordering that high of a Kelvin rating, now if you just want the blue/purple look then you ordered the right kit. Just dont want you to get them and be dissappointed

anythign higher than 6000 are actually just painted bulbs hid manufacturer's only make up 6000k and then are painted for the blue/purple lights. imo 4300-5000 is just right for lighting purposes. and imo i would stick with a quality ballast like philips or hella

Yeah I just order them for the color, I like the way my Escalade lights up the street and I think its around the k's that you guys are telling me, and whenever I get another ride I'll get those which I think its around 6000k, but for this one I just did it for the color. There lots of trucks here in the RGV with those bulb colors 10000k 12000k and they do drive there trucks every day, I just like how they look.

You could have gotten blue bulbs if color was all you wanted........

Congrats on your buy JJ, I got some 14K on mine and they look awesome plus you can see distance with them. Have been driving them for about 3 months and have not had a problem at all, and i drive alot at night and in Mexico so you all know whats upp.
