^the backorder thing is pretty common I think. I also didn't get anything in the way of shipping confirmation when I ordered some bulbs.

I would be willing to put money on it. I have a 03 Chevy and my father has a 05 Sierra. I have put 9005's in the fogs on both of them. The actual number if you went to the parts store is 9145, which they do not make a HID kit for. 9145 and 9005 bulbs are identical with the only difference being the wattage. Now, a friend of mine has a 2003 Tahoe, they are 880's. So are the 99-02 trucks. If he orders an 880 kit his 2006 Sierra, he won't have a use for it.

Just got highs/lows/fogs for my '07 classic from DDM. 9005/9006/H10. But that is for a chevy. Back order wasn't bad took like two weeks. FYI they need to be plugged in "backwards" due to how our trucks activate the lights. So I used the extra wiring that came with the kit, cut and swapped the wires then soldered them back together so the weather boots fit proper.

You will also want to do this if you haven't already. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=245919 It will make your lows last longer.

880s are what they call for, and you are correct 9005 are the highs. . . . however 9005s work and they are much brighter because they do not have the cap on the tip "hence brights"

Lows are 9005 or 9006, cuz in HID's they don't matter seeing they are the same base. And the fogs are either 880 or 9145 or known as H10 and for fogs I would go with 35 watt just to not blind people as bad. As much as blinding people doesn't matter to me because I have 55 watt HIDs in my lows, maybe it matters to you. Just go with what you want and don't worry about what other people say. As long as you can see and are happy, that is all that matters. Also Remember to post pics when they are installed for all to enjoy.
