Default HID Fog light problems

Hey I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for me. I have a 2001 Tahoe and I have HIDs in my headlights and foglights. The problem is, as you all know, the chevy fog lights are POS and they can't even take the wattage of the HIDs. I know HIDs run cooler than halogen so thats why I thought it would work. I have a HID H3 kt retro-fitted in the foglight but now the whole reflector is burnt. The stock bulb is a 893 and I don't know what the wattage is for that bulb but it must be even lower than a HID H3. Any suggestions on a different type of housing I could use, or any kind of treatment I could put on the original housing? I don't want to get rid of them because having 2 sets of HIDs lights up EVERYTHING! and it looks awesome too. Any suggestions would help.

You could try doing a retro-fitted kit in the fog light openings that would hold up to the HID's. That's what I'm planning to do for my Formula when I go to HID's in the Low Beams and Fog lights.
