Default Help me decide between 2 setups

Rim I bought

Option 1
I am either going to buy a Toyo Open Countr AT in a 275/60/20 33 inches tall.
Toyo tire

This would require I leave the car at stock hieght. It would be more of a 4x4 look.

Option 2

Falken Tire 275/55/20 31.8 inches

I could lower my truck a few inches and go with the SS AWD look. What say you?

Depends what look you wanna go for. I personally like the look of the falken more, cause you will have a sportier look, and the toyo will give you more of an off road look.

I agree, but I like the look of the 285/50/20...it looks alot more "meaty" under there, and isn't that much shorter. I think they are like 31.2 inches. I have them on my 2wd ECSB on chrome Centerline Lexi's and only dropped the rear 2" with shackles. I say put a 2" shackle on the back and run the 285/50's. My friend also has them on his old body style 95 Z71 and they look great.

Have you seen the Toyo's in person? They are more aggresive than they look in the picks.

I think you can get away with the toyo's because I'm thinking of going in this direction myself. Nice rims with the toyo's or even the terra grapplers will look great.

I have the terra grapplers myself. Love them for what I do. Ok in mud, good in sand, quiet on the hi-way. You just need to decide if you want the off or on road look

Decision made. I ran down to Les Schwab and had the 275/60/20 mounted and the look sweet. They are exactly 33 inches tall and they seem to fit fine. Very queit on the freeway and still a little aggressive for off road. I will post when I find my card reader. I was told that Nitto and Toyo are sister companies. If you compare the tread and the wear life they are the same. The Terra Grappler had a slightly more aggressive wall to it but both are very sweet. I probably would have gone with the Grappler if they made in the size I needed.

My wife made the decision easy. She said, "isn't your truck a 4x4?" I said, "yes." Then she said, " so shouldn't it look like a 4x4."

Thanks all

Good choice. I went with the terra's because they were cheaper thru my supplier than the toyo's.
