Default Help- Carriage works billet grille owners

This applies to the cut-out and not the bolt over grille.

For the lower grille, the instructions state: "Center the top two tabs on the two molded flats of the grille shell. Drill 1/8" hole here being careful not to go through front cover."

I have a couple of issues with this: (1) there are no 'top two tabs' unless they are referring to the 'Z' brackets, in which case, I understand. (2) there are no molded flats on my grill shell - look at the pictures - what are they talking about?

I have no idea how to attach these Z brackets to the grill shell. Can anyone offer some advice/pictures, etc.?

Thanks

I had that one and sold it for the Trenz. I had the same problem you did. The Trenz is easy to install and looks better IMHO. Sorry I could'nt help.

You gotta get those plastic braces off there. U have to cut or grind away the melted sections that are layed in there. I know that is a little vague but thats the jist of it. I just screwed some small phillips screws covered in red loctite into the rear of the grille shell. Its been on my truck for nearly 2 years and it is still tight and looks good.

Hmmm . . so you have plastic and loctite holding that connection. I would feel better if I could use the clips that come with it.

The location where that small bracket is located wouldnt allow it. I tried to make up some other bracket but I couldnt really come up with anything that would take the place of those small brackets.
