Default Has anyone seen an NBS truck painted flat black?

Street Rod Velvet is another name for it, that semi-flat black paint that you see on the retro rods. James Hetfield's Ford F150 is on the cover of the March issue of Truckin', and it's flat black with purple flames...and it looks hot (for a Ford). I've never seen one of our trucks painted like this though, and I'm curious how it would look. I hope to someday have a rod or mid 50's Chevy truck and paint it this way...but that's many, many years from now...may even consider having my truck painted flat black (no time soon )

If anyone has any pics or input that would be great!

I can't find a pic, but I think the West Coast Choppers shop truck was flat black.

I personally don't care for the flat black on a newer truck. Just a matter of taste I guess.

Here's the West Coast Chopper's shop truck:

And check out the lip on that back wheel.

Pretty cool...rust never looked so good! Thanks for all the pics guys! The flat black looks good on lowered NBS trucks IMO Not so sure that it would have the same effect on Z71 at the stock ride height like mine...(maybe I can try messin with it in photoshop, although my photoshop skills are less than good)
