The way I went at mine is to cut across the rivit with a cutoff wheel (like a screwdriver slot) and then knocked the heads off with an air chisel. Then punched them through with an air chisel.
Also I loosened my gas tank up in order to slide it over an inch or so to tighten the nuts. Try to run your tank damn near empty and it's much easier to move around. Not too big a deal, Just think about it and you will be fine. Make sure to post some pics when you are done.

I used a grinder on 5 of the 6 on each side, then used an air chisel like Alwhite said, the grinder goes a little faster than an air chisel or an cutoff wheel, at least it did for me, i tried all 3. Once you get them all off knock them through the hangers will just about fall off. Make sure you have plenty of time, all in all my hangers took me about 5 hrs, if you have friends it helps. I did a complete drop kit install myself...so if you have any questions, i can prob answer them for you, feel free to ask.

I started yesterday around 4'ish. Those rivets are really a pain in the ***. I used a grinder and a cutoff wheel on most of them. That goes pretty decent, the problem is to knock the rivet out. I have one side done and have the drivers side stock hanger off, but There's a little plate inside the chassis which the rivet is not letting go of. I'm gonna drill it out. It should be pretty easy after that. Looks like it will be a good bit lower though. I also put the middle leaf spring back in so I hope the ride quality will improve.

I know what you mean about those rivets being a pain in the ***! I was wondering if you were going to put the spring back in or not. It's going to be plenty low with the hangers in. Post up some pics when you get it finished. Your truck looks awesome!

Thanks slow. Hey how does your truck ride on these shitty La. roads? I bet it was really harsh going back through N.O.

Man, you have no idea how shitty it was! My buddies in the Powerstroke were doing about 85, and I kept up as long as I could, but had to get off of it, because I was worried about tearing the whole bottom out of the truck. LA really does have some of the worst roads I've ever been on. No Problems Raceway is worth the crappy roads, though.

You ought to try it with the stiff Hotchkis springs and blown shocks! I got to where I just drive my Stanza when I come over to see my girlfriend now.
