Thanks!

I checked on this last summer. At the time the cost was $75 for pre 2003 I think, and $125 for 2003. They told me it was factory components with instructions that required only minor soldering. I didn't buy it at the time because I was just starting to buy other options for my new truck. I will probably check into this again myself now that the thread reminded me about it.

I should have put this info in my first post.

Not a bad idea vs buying a SS cluster.....

Hey cool, I'm getting fired up!!! I want to keep my stock gauges and cluster but would sure like a "stock" tranny temp. gauge.
I'm assuming that price comes with the sender and wiring, etc?
OKay, okay...I'll wait.....

Anyone know where to get the stock overlay, that has the Trans temp display in it?
I want to get the temp guage from usspeedo, but I want it to look stock. No chrome or colored overlays, Know what I mean?

I think their kit comes with a stock type overlay standard. The colored and metal ones are an upgrade.

I put my boost guage in the cluster. Worked fine, easy install. It did require cutting into the circuit board, but a little solder and relocating a diode and I was good to go. You do have to cut a hole completely through the cluster including the black backer piece. I also had to use a right angle fitting for the boost guage for an autometer phantom guage. The entire install took me about an hour, but I am an installer at a stereo shop so I am pretty good at some creative modification.
