Question guage in the instrument cluster?

didnt somebody here put an autometer guage in their instrument cluster, like where the trans temp guage would normaly go?
i did a search and could not find anything on it. but i could swear up and down that i seen somebody here that did that.

my question is what size guage do you need and how was it done?

Hell, I was wondering the same thing, I like my stock cluster, since I can't get that pretty blue with chrrome bezeled Esky one to fit my 03, so I just wanted to add a tranny temp gauge. I guess I could always switch out with an SS cluster....

I put an autometer boost gauge for my blower in my dash where my tranny temp goes.

NIce job! Bummer for me is mine is an 03 that doesn't have the full diameter of a gauge in the dash, part of it is cut off by the tach so I'd have to use a factory cluster or come up with somethine seriously custom!!! I like the way you did yours thoughm very trick, what kind of gauge is that? Autometer carbon fiber?

ya autometer carbon fiber air/fuel (hooked up to an on/off switch so it doesn't drive me crazy being on all of the time)

You can buy the pieces necessary to add the factory trans temp gauge to your stock 03 cluster. I checked into it and the prices would cost about $125. I never bought the parts but it can be done. It is cheaper than a new cluster and you don't have to worry about programming the mileage on a new cluster.

Hey Rado, good deal, I never thought of that. What model did you order the parts from a Denali, Slade or an SS? I guess a Denali because of the color of the gauges, right? Do you remember what it entailed or should I just head to the parts dept. and poke around on their computer?

Thanks!
