well, a turbo diesel and a blown gas burner are two totally different beasts. that thing has a little over twice as much torque as hp. the mileage for pulling is going to be totally different.

Yep, I've owned both, actually 2 Duramaxes. 850+ ft lbs torque is fun. With the right tuning and driver, 21-24 mpg is possible(empty). I usually saw 17-18 mpg with my leadfoot driving habits.

So how is the interior noise on that thing? Can you hear the engine and turbo?

That looks like a clean truck AP. You will love it.
I just bought my first diesel 3 weeks ago and its a big difference in towing (atleast in the 500 miles Ive put on it). I really wanted a Duramax but couldnt pass up the sweet deal I got on a brand new Dodge Megacab with the 6.7 cummins. The following weekend my little bro got a 2008 duramax and that thing is bad *** too.

we have a 07 classic Dudumax at work that we pull trailers with all the time.. its like a caddy compared to our dodges and fords.

Ever since ULSD came out mileage has dropped bad in all our work trucks. all 5 of them averaged a 4mpg loss.

But the dudumax is sweet,, super quiet in the cab no matter the conditions.. we have put some serious miles on ours since we got it. its pulled 8k trailer all over the US for over 150k miles no problem. cant say that about our dodges or furds.
