Looks like a nice new truck! I like those body styles but I'm biased because my dad had an 85 2500 sierra classic.

I am very partial to these body styles myself. This is my 3rd, and my dad had a few different ones growing up. I have had the best overall luck with these body style trucks.

Whats amazing it how huge these things are inside. It has way more room then the newer body styles.

nice ride!

Good choice on going with the 6.2 Diesel.

Sounds like you got a great runner, looks solid as well.

Should give you many years of trouble-free service.

With this new ULSD, I'd run some Stanadyne Fuel Additive. It'll keep Injection Pump/injectors healthy. ImO

Put some in it this weekend, when I topped off the tank. Within about 3 miles it was like driving a different truck. It had way more power. At first I thought maybe it had old diesel in it, but after a little research, I think I will be running additive from now on.

I've got a 90 "K5" and my wife has never sat in it... even when stock. She would have croaked if I came home with that. IMO, nice burb tho, lol

My wife is pretty awesome. She likes the older trucks as much as the new ones. In fact, the old jeep I just sold, as soon as the lift was installed, she was driving it all over. It was hard to keep her out of it.

Pic of me flexing out the old jeep

She really liked riding in my neighbors truck. unknown amount of lift, those are 44's it is dwarfing.

I bought this right after we got married, she wanted it, but I sold it 2 weeks after I got it. It was a 454 4x4 sitting on 36 inch military OTZ's. Guy offered me $1000 more then what I had in it, I snatched the money out of his hand so fast he didn't know what to do.

So yeh, she like being married to me and driving all the neat (she thinks) vehicles I get.

Your wife seems very cool, you lucky bastard lol That burb is totally straight for it's year, evey one that age that I see around here is a bucket of rust. I like that body style too, my dad used to have a mid 70's K5 blazer that I loved, that truck was awesome when I was a kid growing up.

Thanks

It is very straight. I bought an 88 about 2 years ago. It had its demons, but one of the nicest body's I had seen in a very long time. It had been converted from diesel to gas, and the wiring was badly screwed up, nothing worked right. I called the people I got it from, and they said to bring it back, no problems. They had just gotten it and didn't know anything about it (friends bought it for parts, but thought it was to nice to take apart). On the way to take it back, the gas pedal sucked itself to the floor in the middle of a curve. It did its best to kill me that day.

I have been looking for another nice one every since.

Just took my Dad for a ride in it.

He wants me to put my wife in the malibu wagon and let him drive the suburban. HAHA, let the fighting begin, LOL.

Good find. My idea of a family vehicle/hauler. Nice cars by the way.

Knew a family back in Oklahoma that had an '88-'90ish Suburban, blue, lifted on 35's. Was nice and clean. Knew another family that had two diesels and one gas.

One of those things I'd like to get my hands on one of these days. Would go quite well with my truck.

You mentioned about how much room they have, everybody that sits in my truck is amazed at how much more room there is, and that's just the truck.
