Thumbs up Got my JL XR400s in!

I hurt a set of Kappa 462cfp's somehow recently and upgraded to these JL XRs out back also. These match my XR 653s great! The voice matching is how it should be now. NEVER mix your mid and tweets! lol

Anyway, these are a component speaker in a 4" size. Very pimp. I had to fabricate a bracket out of 1/4" lucite (sp?) like plexiglass that was 5x7 and mount it to the door panel. Then cut a hole in that so I could mount the speaker in that.

Took me about 6 hrs from start to finish, 2 of them were making that damned bracket. I had forgotten how big of a PITA it was pulling that back seat out. That thing is quite cumbersome operating it yourself.

Lastly, I'd recommend these speakers for sure! Back to rocking out for myself now.

Yup, they sound very nice. I have them crossed at like 120HZ 24db/oct so they are just basically highs! But the rear fill is nice to be back. Ahhhhhh

I have JL components in the doors/kick panels with 2 subs behind the seats.......always wondered what a nice 4x6 would sound like in those upper panels (I took the stockers out).....I would think it would be too loud right in your ear ?

If you want to cruise out to West Houston and check them out, come on with it. lol

They have the same sound/voice matching as the fronts. Both are XR series. If you can correct the offset for the speaker locations (like I can on my HU) it will just sound like nice rear fill.
