Default Got Bored...Check out my free time experiment!!!

So my LQ9 took a dump on me! While the rod and piston is being replaced, and the 224R cam is coming in, I cleaned up some 243's I had to put on the truck and decided to paint the valve covers! Used Duplicolor's high heat engine enamel. Primer, Chevy orange and Clear coat. Cleaned the covers with degreaser and a toothbrush, scuffed them, cleaned again and primered them. Sanded the primer smooth. Then came the paint, and finally the clear. Here's some progress and finished pics! WHat do ya'll think? I love it!

Primer

Paint

Clear-FINISHED!!!

If it were a more visible part, like my engine cover, i would...But since it's gonna be covered with coils, you'll only see parts of it anyways, and it doesn't need much detail.
