I like 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover, but it's a little pricey if you're only using it once lol. I've heard many times that WD-40 works great

man we have some stuff here at my shop called Der Shiney stuff it works great on chrome but also is great for removing sticky residue. you just spray it on and let it sit for a bit then wipe the glue off. too bad they dont sell it any more in Cali any more you can probably find it online but WD40 will do the trick!

Goo gone works awesome but when I took mine off I used a heat gun and then after I got it cleaned up there was still a little residue left, so i hit it with goo gone, let it sit and then hit it with the heat gun and it wiped right off. I didn't use anything but a heat gun and goo gone to debage my whole truck. Clay bar doesn't hurt either once you're all said and done.
