Default Getting ready for car shows this winter...

I am wanting to get my truck ready for the car shows starting up in May. I want to do some subtle mods to make it look a lot better and not be that expensive. So far my ideas are:

1)Chrome, slotted grille
2)Removal of side molding
3)8 spoke wheels with 275 tires
4) Adjusting torsion bar to sit the truck level

Other than that, I am stuck on ideas. The truck is all stock right now. And also, the warranty is a factor! So I can't get too crazy. Thanks for all input.

Get some tahoe, escalade handles and paint the tailgate handle/bezel. Paint or replace and paint the mirrors. Paint lower valance. Clear headlights. Maybe paint the interior, or get denali/escalade pieces.

Paint the lower valance? Do you have pictures of this? Also the same for the clear headlights

02bluestepside has a painted lower valence on his pic above... but thats an after market one... that would look good if that was painted to match your truck... i'm not sure if they make roll pans for the 06's yet or if the 03-05 ones will work (probably will) but look into a roll pan... makes everything look real smooth.

Do you want pics, or a how to?

Here are some links for how to:
Clearing the lights (taking the amber out) This is for a gmc, but should work the same.

Painting the valance, body shops can do this if you don't want to

A couple more ideas.....paint-match your bowtie, get a SS tailgate cap, and a Snugtop tonneau cover.

Torsion bar to sit the truck level? Never see that before on a 2wd. Use 2" drop shackles for belltech or djm..

Either the tailgate cap or the tonneau, can't do both.
