Well upon closer inspection i looked at the bulbs and it looks like in order to change out the bulb you will have to heat up the two prongs on the bulb with a solder gun to get it out and that is going to be a huge PITA. Im going to try and see if the bulb will come out but it looks like it will have to be soldered.

I'm fairly decent at soldering. I just dont have the an extra control from a Tahoe/Suburban in case I screw up. That's why I said you could practice on the one I have. I have the blue T1.5/74 bulbs too. I ordered some just in case....I can do the soldering but I wouldn't have anything to test it in.

Well maybe we can meet up i dont know what kind of bulbs they are but if you can soldier in the led bulbs then great. Taking it out and apart isnt a problem. Are they bulbs that you are talking about the ones that go in there.

Im talking about the bulbs for the ac controls that backlight it. I have looked closer and played with it and you definately have to solder new bulbs in. I doubt I will mess with it unless I just get really bored cause if I do the ac ill end up doing the 4wd buttons cargo lamp fog lights and dimmer and light switch and thats alot of soldering not to mess up at all and IMO not really worth it at the moment. Tmorrow I will look at the other switches and see if they are as difficult if they are easy then ill think about doing everything.
