To describe "gel paper". Have you seen lighting on a stage where the big "flood" style lights have a color to them? That is not the bulb. It is a transparent plastic "paper" that is overlaid onto them. Same light can produce hundreds of colors. With the overlay on them.

I can't remember where I got the paper from, but I got red and blue. Did my old truck and new truck in the blue and did my motorcycle in the red. After reading this thread I am thinking on doing the L.E.D.'s in my dash but just going with the white/clear LED's to brighten everything up.

No it wont work on the newer gauge clusters unless he has found another way if you go back a few pages he talks about doing it on his moms 03 tahoe I believe and it wouldnt work the plugs were different or something.

question... anyone else have a problem with the led's that they got from bay amusments? Ive had them in there for about 2 months or so... and they all blew out, lol.

Nope mine lasted for 12K miles so far which is about 6 months of actual use my truck has been down so much its ahrd to remember

oh.. maybe i bought the wrong ones... it seemed like maybe they were getting too hot or something, idk. oh well, i went back to stock anyway

yea i just found that out the hard way.. it looks like the lights are solderd right onto the circuit board... sucks if one actually has to be replaced someday.

i painted my stock needles transparent red just like the way you can candy the tails.. it looks way better that that orange....

ive seen a write up some where about that AC panel led's but not shure if its this site or another one i look at, http://chevytruckworld.tenmagazines.com/ , pretty good site.
