Freshly Debadged 06

Turned out pretty nice. I know I know - I need to ditch the mudflaps and the stickers on the back glass. Had to get a little warrenty adjustment on it today, and even talked the accessories dept to re-apply the paint protection to the areas outside where I took the badges off at N/C. WOOT!
Moday it is getting the rear tail lights smoked, and the front emblem will be painted black and clear coated. I need to find some clear front head light kits, get rid of that damn yellow!

It was a nice sunny day on wed when I took it all off. Man o' Man - after reading some of the other members stoires about debadging and all the work and different solvents they had to use to get the adhesive off kind of scared me! It all just peeled right off with ZERO residue on the clear coat. I was very suprised and relieved! Glad I did it early, 2 months after I got it then two years later after it baked on there!

Yeah - I hear ya on that. I went a little bit overboard when I first got it. All my other 4x4's were totally decked out in DeeZee Chrome from front to back, and thought it might work on this one too, but now I wish I did not buy all the chrome. Probley be a nice package bundle in the classifieds here in the near future!

LOOKS GOOD
I debadged my truck last weekend and I don't know why I put up with the crappy look for so long. The factory should have never put the side moulding on, looks like crap compared to without the moulding.

I gotta get to some debadging real soon!
