i have heard that you can take apart the light housing and remove the orange reflector. but the only right up or mentioning i found of it was for a gmc and i was wondering if anyone on here has tried that on the 03 and up silverado's

Guess I didnt know what you were talking about. I have heard of soem people putting it in the oven for a while and getting it nice and warm then lifting the tabs up over the little peg(whatever you want to call it) and popping it off that way. Dont have an 03 or else I woudl try it.

Hell I would put it in for like 5 min at around 200 or so where it wont melt it then seehow rubbery it feels. I claim NO repsonsibility for my suggestion its jsut the way I would do it I were to do it. Me and mjhoward were discussing this on his truck but he hasnt done it yet.

Here's a writeup on how to do it
How to clear 03+ headlights
I took the reflectors on my GMC and didn't use the oven. Just take the clips off and pry off the lens with a butter knife (I used an oyster knife because it was wider), take the reflector out and get all the old sealer out and replace it with some clear silicone.
