the belltech kit boxes the frame. i know the djm flip kit doesn't look too strong (it doesn't box the frame). the belltech kit comes with a carrier bearing relocate kit too for the extended cab trucks.
I have had a friend pull a ski boat with the same notch and he said it held up just fine
