fender flares?

Default fender flares?

Everybody says i need to take them off. will the paint be messed up underneath?

it could possibly be but on my old truck I took them off and their were a few scratches but they buffed out. I think your truck would look alot better with out the chrome fender flares and the bed rails. you already have alot of chrome but I like mine clean except for my wheels being chrome and bumpers(becasue I don't have a choice yet). yeah theres only one way to find out.if they're held on w/screws u can always put them back on if its scratched really bad.You'd be suprised what scratches a skilled detailer can buff out. if they hve dble sided tape i doubt much dirt could get behind there. just gotta clean the tape goo off. good luck.

what will take the "tape goo" off? WD40?

yeah thatwill work or "goof off "you can get at a hardware store or Lowes

I would use 3m adhesive remover, wd40 won't work that well and will rub your hands raw.

wal mart or a paint store usually carry some sort of 3m adhesive remover. It's the easiest thing I have used.

have you also thought about taking off the door trim that is chrome running down the side? Your wheels look really good and when you over chrome IMO I think it takes away from everything.
