40 bucks or 400 bucks? haha well the way my lucks going, I should just get the cheap ones, i'll probably end up ripping them off on something anyways haha...i'm used to my lifted truck and i catch the front bumper of my little truck on EVERYTHING

question, is that the bumper assy, or just the bumper cover? 100 bucks does sound a bit low. If I were you i'd expect to pay about 500 bones for the entire bumper and the parts you'd need to bolt it up. the five grand spent for my truck was for a hood, fenders, lights, bumper assembly, supports, etc.

nope, because if you take off what you have now, you'll have no bumper. i'm sure you can rig something up, but it won't perform like it's supposed to if you get in an accident.
this is what your current bumper looks like. it mounts straight to the frame. the part labeled number one is what the SS bumper looks like. it bolts to the frame, and then the bumper cover is what looks cool, but it provides no function other than looks and aerodynamics. unfortunately, you can't use the bumper cover unless you get all of the proper supports and bracketry.
EDIT: found the diagram of your existing bumper structure.

bumper cover goes over the bumper assembly. IIRC the cover bolts up to the actual bumper plate, pictured number 1.
