question, is that the bumper assy, or just the bumper cover? 100 bucks does sound a bit low. If I were you i'd expect to pay about 500 bones for the entire bumper and the parts you'd need to bolt it up. the five grand spent for my truck was for a hood, fenders, lights, bumper assembly, supports, etc.

I think it's just a bumper cover. does a bumper cover just go over your stock bumper?

nope bumper cover goes over the bumper assembly. IIRC the cover bolts up to the actual bumper plate, pictured number 1.

nope, because if you take off what you have now, you'll have no bumper. i'm sure you can rig something up, but it won't perform like it's supposed to if you get in an accident.
this is what your current bumper looks like. it mounts straight to the frame. the part labeled number one is what the SS bumper looks like. it bolts to the frame, and then the bumper cover is what looks cool, but it provides no function other than looks and aerodynamics. unfortunately, you can't use the bumper cover unless you get all of the proper supports and bracketry.
EDIT: found the diagram of your existing bumper structure.

I get all my stuff from GMPartsDirect. Dealer quality stuff straight from GM, but without the commission charges that the dealers slap on.
