Pull off you dash besel, take out four screws, unplug the harness and pull it out. Installation is opposite of removal.

That's a good question... I know a bunch of pepole that did it to their Av's, and they all seem to have different experiences.

Some don't bother with it... I guess the gauges ship with a sticker that you attach to your door - some sort of a legal disclaimer thing, and you write your odo reading at the time of the swap on it.

Some get them done at dealers for a good cost... Some dealers refuse to do it, or claim they don't have the tools to do it.

Then there are some speedo(meter) shops that are around for this type of stuff. Some of them charge a bit of money, like $100, others are more reasonable and do it for like $30. I can't think of any that are local to me.

I remember hearding of one online place, where you could ship it out, and have it returned overnight or second day or something. They were reasonable. I can try to dig up the info if you'd like.

Either way, the shops have to hook the gauges up to some sort of computer, and program the mileage onto it. It's supposed to be a quick and painless thing.

I'm thinking about the Denali 120MPH cluster will the trans temp gauge operate, or will we need to do some wiring?
