Default engine covers...

i love the look of the ls6 covers on a motor.... but is there anything i can do with my 4.8 as far as engine covers go?? i think i would have to change fuel rails and maybe relocate coils for the corvette engine covers...

any photos or links would be greatly appreciated!
thanks

The easiest is to use the SS, Denali, Escalade, or Vmax 3 piece covers. You can use the vette covers, but if the motor is left stock you will have to hack them up a bit to get them to fit right. If you use the car intake, fuel rails, and maybe a few other things, you could just put them right on.

You have to trim the back passenger side to clear the firewall/cowl, and I think you have to trim the front drivers side for the alternator. You're better off doing what was mentioned above (SS/Vmax covers).

I've got the two outer Denali pieces that I don't want. If you want them, let me know, you can have 'em for cheap.

EDIT: Just realized the date of the OP in this thread, disregard.

Really old pics, and the top cover was just sitting up there. Top is off an isuzu, can't remember which one, but it took some cutting too. The drivers side vette cover has to be hacked up pretty good
