I found a 2005 2500 HD hood for cheapppp.

Is the 05 HD hood raised like the chevy HD hood is? Also will it bolt right on?

I gotta know very soon, I feel this thing will disappear fast.

Yes they are the same. Just get an 02 Silverado HD hood and make it work.

 

that hood will not even come clsot to working. do not buy it. 03+ HD hoods are completely different, you will hav eto get 03+ fenders, cut the tops off, and weld them to your factory fenders. So...do not buy it.

you need a 01-02 HD hood then needed to cut it to fit at the front

 

Yeah I am disappointed. Lady wanted 90 bucks for it and it was the color I needed too...

Would you stfu? All of the Sierra hoods are the same for the HDs and the 1/2 tons from 99-06. BGRAY has a 01-02 Silverado HD hood on his truck that was trimmed to fit, I know this cause I was gonna do it to mine but elected to sell my Sierra and instead I got a Silvy. BGRAY I believe is under the impression he ment a 03+ Silverado HD hood when in fact he meant a 03+ Sierra HD hood (which will fit a 99-02 1/2ton Sierra cause they are the same hood). Unless of course he did mean a 03+ Silvy hood which... yes BGRAY is correct, they arent even close, but I would hope Blitinicale99 would know that
