Default drop kit question

what kind of drop does everyone have? what is the best drop? I dont want my truck to bounce around,so i was think about getting the belltech 2" front spindles and the rear 4" blocks with hangers. would their be a better set up?
should i use the belltech 1" front springs or my stock springs? i just want a nice looking drop with a smooth ride.

i have a rigged up drop kit:
front - 2" belltech drop springs
back - 2" belltech shackes and chassis tech hangars

using stock front & back shocks; i have a lil bounciness on the rear now that i put the 17" denali rims and the big michelin tires, but i'm very impressed with the ride on it with the factory shocks.

Once again, Hotchkis.

By the way, why "" icon? You don't seem mad in your post.

All depends on how much you want to spend. The cheapest way is spring, shackles and hangers. Mine is a 3/4 drop done that way, and I have no problem with the ride quality.

Someone was saying that when you tow (a boat, trailor, nothing too big.) with the hotchkis 4/2 it will sag in the rear over time. Is this true? I mean I really like the idea of the hotchkis suspension syetem but would not want it to sag over time.

do you mean shackles and hangers? blocks will raise it unless yours is fwd. i have control arms in the front and springs out back. a little rough because stock still rides cushy and back is chollie due to the springs being stiffer. it is a 4-4 drop.

I have heard this to with the Hotchkis kit. That why I use airshocks out back with my shackle / hanger setup.

I've towed only a handful of times since the Hotchkis was installed. I don't have the sag you describe but I also didn't do alot of towing either.

Deckhand - could the bottoming out problem be from the type of shocks you are using?
