Default door panel removal?

sup fellas.. need a little help if possible. does anybody have a diagram or steps to successfully remove 04 silverado door panel? I've already tried once and removed bolts and unclipped this and that, but it still doesnt want to let itself go. help! i gotta change these crappy as stock speakers freakin asap!!

Are the 04 panels any different than the rest?? You remove the plastic panel that covers where the mirror mounts, remove the plastic cover under the handle, remove the door lock and window button panel, I think there are only 2 screws one under the arm rest and you will see the other one when you pull off the button panel, then just pull up on the panel (not out) and it should come right off.

Yes, '04 is slightly different. DO NOT remove the power window/lock switch panel. It's not a snap fit. The second bolt is behind the manual lock cover, as opposed to under the switch panel for earlier trucks. The rest is the same for '99-'04.

do u have to pull pretty hard, cause right now i feel some flex when trying to tug up on the door, like somethings still attached.. does the lock button have to be disconnected from the back or does the panel just pull off over the lock?

Be sure to check the screw underneath the manual door lock slider as mentioned above. I forget it every time!
