You can do it, alot of us have. I used fishing line to slice through the 2 sided tape that holds the moulding on, then used 3M adhesive remover to get the residual tape/glue. I ended up with a few blisters from rolling off the residue, but it was worth it. Afterwards, a good buff, wax, and/or clay bar should help even out the outline of the old mouldings.

Yep, this is great advise... Works good... Just take your time and it will go well.

use a heatgun, or hairdryer to soften up the glue.

if your having too much trouble with the glue coming off, try some goof off. i used it on my truck after trying a heat gun and rubbing the crap out of it. the goof off will make it easier to come off.

well that was alot easier than i thought. hairdryer??? who needs one? the truck sat in the sun for a few hours and the molding just peeled right off leaving just a little bit of sticky stuff on the edges, nothing a little goo gone didnt take care of. took all of ten minutes to take the molding and pinstripes off.

before:

after:

still have to hit it with clay bar and a good wax if i can ever get time when the sun isnt hitting the truck full force or when my roomate gets his t-bird outta the garage for a day.
