Default Does the plastic come off of the step bumper?

I want to colormatch my rear bumper but don't really want to mask it off and paint it. I would rather take the plastic parts off if it is possible then paint it.

Also, any tips on sanding, preping, painting, and finishing it?

Knew that one did. Anybody painted their rear before? How'd you go about it and how'd it turn out?

Default plastic stuff

Not trying to hijack the thread..( ), but as long as we are snapping things off....can I snap-off the black plastic "steps" on my '00 stepside?

What are the options then...???color match ?? Billet replacements????

Haha, I know what you're thinking and it's not gonna work. No Mines a black fleetside, but if your bumper would have worked I may have bought it. Did you paint it yourself?

LOL.. aw hell it was worth a try
I had it repainted at a local bodyshop, after some yahoo.. scratched it all up with a pushing machine..
the back bumper is not as bad about chipping, and what not, like the front bumper is..
