Default Do NBS door handles come apart?

I want to paint my door handles. I know what process im going to use. But I was wondering if, when people paint door handles on NBS trucks, do they disassemble the handle to paint them? Can this be done?

Yes they can be disassembled, im guessing there factory handles not aftermarket, if there factory u can just drive the pin that goes through the handle and the pull.

No problem when i did mine to reassemble them i had to grind the pin down around the outside of it to get it to go back in then used a phillips head screw driver to spread the end back out so the pin would stay in.

You can also use a 10/32" bolt and nut with the nylon insert to keep it back together. That's what I did on mine.
