That guy was selling a used console that needed to be repainted and was missing parts for $1000 a while back, seems a little high to me. Its not hard to do the swap but it is expensive.

ok first, you need to get your hands on 3 parts, the main part of the center console starting price brand new is 1600, the front section is around 600$ then you need to swap out your lower dash around the glove box thats somewhere around 200$ up to 300.
these are all new PRICES.
Now about my own project, I have been on a mission to put a Denali Center console in my 2003 GMC Sierra truck. The new 2003-04 denali consoles are a bit pricey, more so than the 2002 ones, But to do it I have to get a lower part of the 2002 dash to make it work. I got the lower part of the dash in a trade with a guy, then swaped out a p3 computer for the front part of the denali center console. The back part / main section of the Denali center console costed me 200$ plus 20$ for shipping off ebay. So all in all the whole console costed me around 220$ cash and 300$ in trade.
Then since I was getting my interior done anyways I decided to get it covered to match my truck interior. Currently I am waiting for the console to be done at the interior shop but I have the lower part of the dash wrapped in suade.
