I didn't bother with a hair dryer or heat gun. It's warm enough in texas I used a rag with hot water and just pressed in on the emblems for a few seconds. The sticker type peel right off with almost no residue. Use fishing line to "saw" hard badges off. Like BADMOFO said, roll the majority of the adhesive off. Use WD40 or GooGone for the rest of the adhesives. WD40 also works wonders with getting off tar and bug guts.

The booger rolling method is best for your paint. Alcohol can fog clear coats, and Ive heard of go gone doing the same on some clears. Heat em up, roll, then cleanerwax it.
