Default dashboard question

would a dash from a 99 silverado fit an 04 sierra? i can get a dash from a 99 silvy for free...just dont kno if its gonna end up bein worth my time....wanna smooth it & paint it black so i have no down time in vehicle operation..THANKS!

Pretty sure that they're different around the combo meter and radio...now that I think about it, the lower panels are different, as well as the console (if equipped), so I don't think it will be a direct swap. Maybe if you swapped both the upper and lower dash parts, but I'm not sure.

combo meter? yeah i don't think there was a center console....i think i'm gonna pick up the dash either way...i mean its free so no harm no foul...if it fits it fits if it doesn't it doesn't figured i'd jus try and find out thanks billy

I don't know why you would want to. you would have to change most of the pieces and the mounts for the radio and a/c stuff. not to mention the 99 has a 1.5 din radio instead of a double.

it's not that i wanted to thinking of the differences...i wanted to thinking that i wouldn't have any down time while i was working on it...

"Combo Meter" is the Lexus/Toyota lingo for gauge cluster or instrument cluster...I get so used to using that lingo at work that sometimes it seeps into my home life too lol...sorry about that
