Dude that really sucks BUT most insurance co's will call that a comprehensive (deduct is lower usually) and allow repainting of the whole truck.
It really sucks people think doing **** like that is ok....

That's fine, take it to the most reputable shop you can fnd. Any good paint shop will tell them the whole panels will have to be done for the paint to match.

Ins co's always try to screw you, it's their job. F them, get what you need and don't settle for less.

i def want my door and fender repainted COMPLETELY after hearing some horror blending stories... in which case that should bring them into blending my hood and cab correct?

If it is, I didn't get caught! When I had my 02 Camaro, I hit a piece of plywood that fell off the back of a guys truck and it trashed my front end. I took the opportunity to have an SS hood painted and installed rather than my stock hood repainted.

Oh, sucks about your truck man, have any idea who it was? Ex girlfriend, disgruntled co worker, etc?

YUP! It's not fraud if you have them waive the deductable and then give it back to them for the additional paint
