Corvette door handles on a silverado door. Has anyone done this, or have any pics? I am pretty sure it has been done.

 

you could get the door handles off like an alero or something that has similar handles to the vette. that way you could buy a door skin for the same car you got the handles for and then you would have the mounting tabs and all you would just have to cut to fit the panel. vettes doors are glass so you couldnt weld in a new piece.

 

Buick regal, Chevy malibu, Olds alero all share handles with the Vette and the doors are steel.

I have seen different handles put on the trucks but honestly, I didnt know what they were off of. I think as long as the mechanismas are similar, it would work fine.

back when i had a subscription to truckin, they had a tech article where they put vette handles on a rcsb sierra 99-02 body style ... might be able to find the article somewhere on the internet or find an old truckin mag
