Default Corvette coil covers on a truck?

I know you probably have to modify them to fit if they do, but has anyone done this? If you have I'd love to hear how much and what work is involved. I'd really like to put some sort of coil cover on and those seem to be the cheapest out there.

Using the escalade, denali, or ss covers are probably the easiest and don't cost too much. I used the vette covers on mine and had to cut the drivers side cover up a good bit to get it to sit right. The passenger side is the easiest, a few cuts and your done. You could just slap the drivers side cover on and call it a day, but it will not sit almost level like the passenger side cover does. Here are a few pics. These are not the best, and sorry I don't have any pics of the drivers side cover.

I added the SS covers to mine and cut out the 6.0L part, added stainless screen behind them, then smoothed and painted. These covers are only like $90/set.

Check out ebay and the classifieds on here. I think Dubsilverado was selling a set off his vortec max truck, basically the same, but it says "Vortec Max" where the above says vortec

02BlueStepside: Thanks, I'll take a look at those.

thunder550: Would your two outer pieces fit the 4.8? I know alot of GM's stuff fits different applications, but I don't know much about their truck engines. I have an '07

I'm not sure, but I don't see why not. If you want I can send them to you and you can test them, if they fit pay me, if not send them back.

The side pieces will fit an 01+ 4.8, but you can't use the standard 1-piece truck cover for w/ the Denali/SS/Esky 3-piece covers. I tried that and it didn't work.

But you could get the L and R sections from thunder550, and go to the dealer and get the center piece.

I dont have any pics of the backside, I used hi-temp adhesive for the screen.

You can buy these from gmpartsdirect, partszoneonline or jpcustoms for what Dub wants.
