Default Considering Ram Air hood for 2011 Sierra SWB

After seeing the GMC Sierra that the Truckin Magazine did a story on from the Michigan dealership, I had the bug. I found that the hood is found under the Ram Air Hood website and with the right contacts, I can get it delivered at a reasonable price of $825.00, and pinted to match with stripes for about $400.00. THis is not bad considering the costs of shipping and paint in this day and time. https://www.ramairhood.com/store/scr...p?idproduct=87

It is what I can see would enhance the tune, exhaust, and air box that I already have on my truck. Anyone out there using one of these hoods and if so, any issues form them?

Not to rain on your parade but it's kind of an ugly hood IMO. But hey if you like it then go ahead cuz it is your truck after all.

I can't say I love it either... for that money I'd rather see a HD front end conversion.

Not a fan of spending $1200 on something that doesn't make the truck go faster. But that is the gear head in me.

Not a big fan of this one either. Never looked at hoods for the new trucks but I would think there are much better looking hoods for the same money.

All that good new comes back to if you like it then go for it.

It is a functional ram air setup so in theory it could yield some gains, although not sure how much.

It doesn't look bad but I haven't looked to much to see what else is out there. If ya like it rock it!
