Becareful guys.. I ruined my lower turn/parking lenses. I think where I went wrong was using Ultra RTV. Just buy the plain black Silicone as shown in the Article. My line of thinking was that the Ultra, being High Temp and all would be even that much better about bonding, holding and withstanding the hot florida sun. What happened though was the RTV cures it gives off an acidic fume which started eating at the Reflectors and etching the inside of the clear lens. Needless to say they were ruined and I had to buy a new set.. For some reason the Headlights themselves took great and never had a problem with those..
A tip though!. Have lots of patience.. You'll spend hours and hours if you do it right.. Don't rush it, keep reheating in the oven to soften the old RTV.. and the biggest TIP I can give you.. Avoid if all possible touching the inside of the lens.. It Scratches SOOOOO easy!.. You'll get your finger prints in there.. Then you'll try to wash and dry it and Bam.. Visible scratches.. If you have to wipe the inside of the lens or the Reflector (It scratches even easier) use one of those Absorber towels like you use to dry your vehicle.
