clear corner lenses and other headlight questions
#1
I have an 03 sierra and want to change the headlight orange lenses to clear. Do I need to buy a new headlights to do this or is there a way to just remove them? Can I purchase bolt in clear replacements?
I am also looking to get some high quality signal lenses that are clear. I have found many different brands but want some that look as close to a FACTORY clear lense as possible. I dont like many of the clear ones I have seen because they just look cheap. I really dont like the lenses that have that shiny chrome interior.
Any info would be appreciated.

I have an '01 Sierra(with yukon/denali front swap) You can clear the headlamps by just opening up the assembly and removing the orange reflector piece in there. You might have to take a razor blade and cut the silicone sealing so it will come apart. Just be careful. I dont know what you meant about buying bolt on clear replacements for the headlamps, but I havent seen any place that sells the whole headlamp assembly without the orange reflectors.
About the blinkers, when I had my Sierra front end on my truck, I bought my clear corners from APC(A Piece of Crap) they turned a nasty yellowish color after awhile, my guess is because they're cheap ****. I'm not sure but I think I've heard of companies making a "diamond clear" one that, if it looks like those "european diamond clears"or whatever(sorry im bad at rememebring names) then I'd get those.
To anyone else who reads this: If you have the Denali projector lenses, have you tried to remove the orange reflector in there? I just got a pair I want to switch out with my stock sierra ones and I want "clear corners" Is it safe to do this without perhaps damaging the projector lens by exposing it to air or anything like that? I dunno...also, are there clear corners for the yukon denali blinkers?

Got my corners on procarparts.com Cheap as hell, and a year and a half later they still look brand new. Be sure to use a credit card though. I sent a money order and it took forever, and when I tried to call them, they were Asian sounding and barely spoke english and they told me something different every time. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

Actually they are totally clear on the front with chrome back with a kind of funky bubbly texture. I didn't know that until they arrived, but they grew on me. You might not like them because of that, but if you want to see them, just give me your email and I'll send a pic. Also mine is a Chevy but they probably carry GMC lenses too.
