Default Cleaned up and updated.

The Tahoe has been getting some attention recently so I figured along wit the air bag changes I would clean it up. It isn't as clean as it should be because I didn't have a spong for the body or a brush for the wheels but it is by far the best it has looked in a long wile.

I took off the level valve so the air bags only had one setting and installed electric valves so I can adjust hight as I see fit.

Ride height is about 2 inches lower then all the way up but it is hard to tell in these pictures. I am going to be putting Shockwaves on the front pretty soon if they will fit. I will update the thread once that happens.

Here is all the way down.

This is ride height.

And here is all the way up.

Thinking about having the wheels powder coated. I can have it done fairly cheap by the company that does our semi truck wheels. Powder coat black then possibly paint the reliefs body color?

Has anyone blacked out a set of these wheels? What do you guys think about the black , or the black with body color on the reliefs?

IMO, I think you should leave them like they are. I don't care for that style wheel in black. Looks good as is. IMO anyway.

Just wondering, but if you did not have a sponge or a brush how the hell did you clean it? Rags? Go buy some cleaning supplies and do your paint a favor.

First let me thanks for the compliments. I am happy with how much better it looks. Being 4 link factory out back makes life so much easier to bag the rear!

Pressure washer. No rags or anything like that.

The reason I was thinking about changing the wheels up is two fold.

The passenger side wheels each have a small portion that is starting to corrode under the clear coat. It isn't big but is only going to spread with time.

Second just because they are stock wheels doesn't mean I can't change them up some. Color change is better then me trying to weld stuff to them to change the style! haha(NO I am not at all considering this! It is purely a joke!) At my cost aftermarket wheels I like are $200+ each then I can stay 17, waste of time! Or I can go to the 22" I would like but then tires are $150+ so $1500 isn't in the budget any time soon!

I agree the wheels do look good for a stock wheel but we all know stock is no fun.

Looks good. Love the stance on it. Need to switch them white letters in on the tires though.

I am not sure if I would prefer the black out or not. I have always been a fan a white leters, but I understand it most commonly doesn't go with the "street" look.
