Does anyone know where I can get a 2003 Chevy SS pick up truck "SS" interior emblem?

I KNOW I dont have an SS and dont plan to put ANY emblems on the OUTSIDE of my truck. I DO want to put that cool SS emblem on the inside of my truck right above the air bag shut off switch. I think its the perfect place for this cool emblem.

Anyway I know I could get it at my local dealer but was hoping there were some ONLINE INTERNET parts dealers that I could get the emblem from. I didnt see any parts available at gmpartsdirect.com BUT maybe I need to CALL them to find out this info.

 

I'm curious as well. I just posted on SilveradoSS.com to see if anyone has any. I used to check this site quite often before the SS's came out, but the fun is kinda gone since there on the streets now.

I'll let you know if I find anything out.

Stopped by the Chevy dealer this afternoon. They told me that the part wasn't out yet, and said it would probably be about a month before they could get them. If anyone else hears different let me know.

 

I know that this is old, but I did find out some part numbers. Not sure if this is going to help you out or not.

front bumper cover: 12335659 371.49 list
blue grille assembly: 15178221 397.66 list
black grille assembly: 15178219 397.66 list
red grille assembly: 15178220 397.66 list
ss badge: 15178666 roughly 30.00 list

The SS badge is the one on the outside...I can't find the PN for the one on the inside. I'm sure that you could use one of these part numbers to get the RPO code for the SS option and look at the dash pics in the computer to get the correct SS badged interior piece.

I believe they're the same emblem (as far as dimensionally) whether they attach the same way, i dont know. Wouldnt be suprised if they did attach the same way tho, like 3M adhesive or something...

 

The interior badge that I think this guy is talking about is on the dash, I think near the HVAC controls or something? Maybe over the airbag override switch?

 

Yea its possible they both attach the same way BUT I couldnt imagine th exterior badge fitting the interior location.

The interior badge is mounted right above the air bag on/off switch.

 

According to a guy on the silveradoss page here is the part number for the interior SS emblem.

The part number is 15178169.

I looked at the part number on GMpartsdirect and it was there but didnt have a description. Im ordering it so we shall see if its right.

 

I called Chevy today and they told me that part # 15178169 did not exist. Does anyone else have more information on this?
