Default C-Notching

Well, I decided the only way to make my truck ride good being lowered begins with a c-notch. Called stylin' concepts and told me to get the weld on from belltech.($100) My question is how deep does it need to be and do i need the 5'' or the 5-1/4'' for my 1500. I'm only dropping the rear 4-5''. Thanks
Anyone has a cheaper price?

i have a 4" drop on the rear of mine and it rides fine and it doesnt hit the frame or anything, but if you want five, you have to do it. and plus you probably need it if you want a good ride. I say get the 5 1/4 just to get the most clearance and youll be alright

I just put a ART bolt in C-Notch in my 00 GMC ECSB and I love it. I lowered it 4" and it constantly bottomed out on the pancake bumpstops and drove me crazy. They are around $230.00 from ART but I found one on the fourms for $115 shipped. It wraps the frame and it has a 1 1/2" X 2" 1/4" wall tube along the top, strong as hell. Very highly reccommended. See attachment.
