The front of my truck was backed into over the weekend and instead of turning it in on insurance the guy wants to settle up with me out of his pocket. i called the dealership and they want 583.33 for the stock replacement. i got to thinking if i could pick up an aftermarket SS style bumper cheaper than the price quoted to me by the dealer then he might go for it. what are some good companies to deal with? i see some of you have the bumper on non-SS trucks, are these from GM or after market? thanks for the help.

I know Street Scene sells an aftermarket cover that is styled after the SS bumper (but you have to have a bumper to begin with). Other than that I've only heard of people buying OEM bumpers and replacing them on their non-SS trucks. Maybe someone else has some deeper insight that they can share with us where to buy SS bumpers...

There is a guy on GMFS, Into, and I think his front bumper is the SS one and not the cover....but not positive.

I am running a GM SS front bumper cover, not the Street Scene bumper cover. I love the way it fits.
